Tropicana Casino &Resort
Located at Brighton and the Boardwalk, The Tropicana Casino
and Resort is the largest hotel in the State of New Jersey. It has over 1,600 hotel rooms
and suites in a complex that includes eight restaurants (there's even a Hooters), several
lounges and numerous other amenities.
The Trop is known as a good place for mid-level gaming. High
rollers might find the table limits too low, but most of us would not have a problem. The
Trop's Poker Room is also one of the nicest in town. They use a specially designed photo
identification system to ensure that players receive the comps they deserve.
Gaming takes place in a pretty, 124,000 square foot casino
that is divided out into several smaller gaming areas. The table games at the Trop
are; Blackjack, Roulette, Baccarat, Mini-Baccarat, Craps, Pai Gow, Sic Bo, Poker,
Keno, and Simulcast. (Smoke-free tables are available). Denominations of slot
machines in the casino range from .05$ to $100. There are slot machines throughout the
facility, but the casino's most luxurious slots area is the Crystal Room. With more than
80 slot machines of denominations of $2 - $100, the Crystal Room features crystal
chandeliers, vaulted ceilings and vibrating high back slot chairs.
One of the recent attractions at the Trop is Blanche,
Atlantic City's only singing bartender. While serving drinks in the Tiffany Lounge on
Wednesday, Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays, Blanche can sing one of over 1,500
songs. It's amazing to watch this local celebrity at work.
