The Sands Hotel & Casino
 Located at Indiana Ave. and Brighton Park,
the Sands is a name that is synonymous with gaming. Once one of the
best casinos in Atlantic City, the Sands is now beginning to show it's
age. The once-elegant facility now seems to be sliding into
mediocrity, especially when compared to the top Atlantic City Casinos
like Caesars and the Taj Mahal.
Sands gaming is geared more toward middle- to
low-range players. Of course, there are a few high-stakes tables
available, but more often than not, lower-limit tables reign heaviest
throughout the casino. The Poker room is decent, but real poker
enthusiasts will find the action at the Taj more to their
tastes.
 The
Sands also provides fairly standard entertainment and dining options.
Although their Copa Room has played host to entertainers such as
Jackie Mason and the B-52’s, the room lacks the elegance, comfort
and acoustics that make for a complete and well-rounded entertainment
experience. As far as dining, the resort’s most frequented eatery is
the "Epic Buffet," a gigantic dining facility that features
foods from around the world.
